When I think of my life I can see the gifts and talents that God has given to me. My parents have been awed, and maybe a little surprised at the different way in which I grew. In whole, I have had a path of experiences quite unique among my family and
friends. My learning has spanned from the time I was born in Des Plaines, Illinois through years of schooling, learning, and growing in my current home of West Jordan, Utah.
During the years of my early youth I acquired a set of talents not usually found in children of my age. From very early, I began climbing trees, exploring caves, and any other adventure I could find. When I was near the age of seven my family got a prim
itive Macintosh computer and by the time I was eleven I had begun programming. Having an overactive imagination I began to write stories and poems in my free hours. I explored indepentently these various areas but, many of these talents could have no re
lease during the limited education of elementary and middle schools.
Not until I attended West Jordan High School did I find a outlet for my creativity. With wonderful teachers to challenge and work with me I expanded my knowledge and story writing skills. Also for the first time I could find an vent for all my creativit
y: Drama and Theater. During the few short years of high school I participated with major or lead roles in many of the school plays. About the age of 15 I began to work for the University of Utah Computer Center and expanded into 3D Design, Graphics, Ne
tworking, Systems, Programming and all other fields of computer usage. At the age of 17 I joined the Army Reserves and graduated with honors from the Petroleum Supply school at Ft. Lee, VA. My creativity had developed, I had expanded my life, but I stil
l felt lacking somehow. My heart was incomplete, I could find no focus or direction.
In February of 1997 a miracle happened directly from the hand of my Heavenly Father to bring me together with Charla Evans. Being with her has changed me forever. On the second of July 1997 I left for the Missionary Training Center to learn Spanish and
preach the gospel to my bretheren in Ecuador. Now I am home and my dream is being fulfilled: I am engaged to Charla to be married for time and all eternity! I have never felt such focus in my life before, and now is my time to succeed with God's wind a
t my back!
As the years progress and I begin a family, the skills I have learned will bless Charla, our children, Myself, and whoever I may come in contact with. I aspire to have a career in the field of Industrial Design and to continue my education throughtout my
life. With God's help and these gifts I've been given, I know I can become whatever I choose to be and overcome any challenge that life gives to me.
