Peter Wiggin from the Hugo-Award-Winning book Ender's Game was a 10 year old genius who set his mind to unifying the world. On the Internet under the alias 'Locke' he swayed Earth's opinion in favor of peace. He had suceeded at age 16.
His success Illustrates to me the extent of human potential: that Nothing is impossible. Too many nay-sayers ridicule a single man's attempt to effect the world for the better. 'Locke' to me is someone who will alter his own universe irrevocably for the better. The only thing that limits one's achievement is that he tells himself that he can't acheive. It is my belief that there is no task that can't be accomplished with no more than a sound reason, and an inability to say, "I can't."
